Set in Stone: What Should We Do with Controversial Monuments?

Washington State has a park named after Jefferson Davis, and until recently, an elementary school named after Robert E. Lee and a memorial to Confederate soldiers in Seattle’s Lakeview Cemetery. What purpose do memorials like these now serve?
