Screening of A Love Song for Latasha and a talkback with the director and reflections from special guests
The killing of 15-year-old Latasha Harlins in March 1991 became one of the flashpoints for the LA uprisings in April 1992. Through the memories of a close friend & cousin, Oscar-nominated A Love Song for Latasha (2019), counters the focus on her death by building a rich portrait of the teenager.
